how to:
option 1:
press the Big red button
option 2:
1. start the service from the widget (start listening to volume buttons)
2. use your volume buttons to start and stop recording.

audio detection - set maximum recording time - audio detection will start every time it gets noisy. audio detection will resume once maximum recording time will finish.

Review edited, as it seems like I didn't realise that some of my issues had been fixed in a recent update. Sorry for leaving a less-than-favorable review, honestly, this app doesn't deserve a negative review, especially since I can now find my files in my file system (shared folder). I do definitely think this app could benefit from having a second button (maybe smaller button), that immediately opens up the keyboard, and you type your desired filename, to mark it as more important than others.

Thanks a lot for updating the review - About the instant name change - I will check how. hi, setting:use volume buttons:disabled & setting:use shared folders:enabled. files will be recorded on music\baudio2 also, upgrade to version 1.3.39. Arbel

Once background recording is activated you can no longer control the phones volume, ringer always will be set to full volume. App appears to stop you from turning any volume down so had to uninstall, no issues afterwards. Also could not actually listen to my recordings, could see them but they do not play back like the video shows. Recommended for those looking to have a bad day.

Perfect! It's a simple, light weight app that does exactly what it claims. I can record audio with my screen locked. No other app that I've found can do this without interruption, and the clips are easily accessible in my phone.
