The time for the night prayer begins after the evening prayer and ends with the call to dawn, and whoever sleeps after praying the evening prayer and then wakes up, this is called a tahajjud. There is a common belief among some that the night prayer is not rewarded until after sleep, and this is a common mistake that everyone must change completely, and the night prayer is permissible at any time, even if it is immediately after the evening prayer. The difference between the qiyaam al-layl prayer, the intercession, and the odd prayer is that the jurists spoke about the qiyaam al-layl prayer, and they said that every prayer that came after the evening prayer is valid for being part of the night prayer. They differentiate between the night prayer and the tahajjud, that the tahajjud is what preceded sleep, and the night prayer is what occurred before sleep.
