- Make a grid of all the runes and move your hand over them while concentrating on what you wish to know. Remember that your doubts can be centered in the past, present and future tense. You should use your left hand if you are right-handed or your right hand if you are left-handed. When you feel the rune that has the answer to your question, stop on it.

- You can cast the runes while thinking about your question and wait to see which ones stand out from the others.

- Close your eyes and let your mind go blank. Take three runes out of the bag and place them side by side in a line. The rune on the left will be the answer to a past situation. The one in the middle will be the answer to a present situation and the last one refers to a future situation.
