Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies in adults refer to four pathological conditions: polymyositis, dermatomyositis, inclusion body myopathy and autoimmune myositis necrotizing. Polymyositis and dermatomyositis are two systemic diseases with a variety of symptoms, which are characterized by the presence of proximal muscle weakness and evidence of muscle inflammation.
