The Book of Islamic Nullification, among its contents, discusses the MEANING OF HUJJAH HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED

1. How can Hujjah be upheld? Hujjah can be established with the following things: Al-Qur'an

Allah says:

"And this Al-Qur'an was revealed to me so that with it I might give warning to you and to those who come to the Al-Qur'an (to it). (Al-An'am: 19)

As-Sunnah Whoever has received the warning of the Prophet SAW, in essence the proof has reached him. The Prophet said: "By my soul which is in his hands, this people, Jews and Christians, will not hear me, then they will not believe in me unless they go to hell."

Hujjah mitsaq (taking a promise from Adam's son while on his corolla)

Allah says:

"And (remember) when your God brought forth the offspring of the sons of Adam from their flesh and Allah took testimony against their souls (while saying) "Am I not your God? They answered "Yes (you are our God) we are witnesses," (we do that) so that on the Day of Resurrection you will not say "Indeed, we (the children of Adam) were those who were heedless of this (the oneness of God)." (Al-A'raf: 172)

Hujjah fitrah

Fitrah is part of Allah's proof of His servants. Namely the Islamic fitrah and faith that humans are born with. Hujjah verses kauniyah

The Kauniyah verses that exist in this universe are Allah's proof for His servants..

2. Differences between Ulama regarding the meaning of hujjah which has been established and which opinions are stronger. The first opinion: hujjah is said to be established on a person, that is, if the hujjah reaches him, then he understands it perfectly

Second opinion: Hujjah is said to be established over someone if the hujjah has reached him even though he cannot understand it

3. Is Everyone Capable of Enforcing Hujjah Hujjah cannot be enforced by everyone. People who do not have knowledge cannot establish hujjah and answer doubts, even pious people who are not specialists in their field cannot establish hujjah.

4. Whether a proof is established for someone is a relative matter. The issue of whether a proof is established is a relative matter, not absolute. It differs according to era, place and individual. Sometimes a proof is upheld in one era but not in another.

Ibnul Qayim in Tariqul Hijratain said "People who are unable to ask questions and unable to gain knowledge in any way are divided into two.

Firstly, they are people who want and love guidance but are unable to get it because there is no one to show them. Their legal status is like that of people at the time of the fatrah and they have not yet reached the point of preaching. "That is, stupidity that cannot possibly be rejected is an excuse, just as their expert fatrahs get an excuse because they did not receive a warning.

People who do not accept the excuse of ignorance in the matter of grand shirk argue with the condition of people during the Fatrah era, the era before the Prophet SAW was sent, they went to hell even though there was no proof against them.

Evidence for this opinion:

People who die during the Fatrah era will go to hell. "So that you warn a people whose fathers have never been warned, because they are negligent." (Yasin: 6)

Second: According to Imam Asy-Syaukani, this is the opinion of the majority. The punishment in the afterlife for people who do not believe in tawheed, even though the hujjah has not yet arrived, in essence the hujjah mitsaq and fitrah are enough for him.

God's Word:

"And we did not punish them until we sent a messenger. (Al-israa': 15)

So Allah sent someone to be the hujjah of his people, transmitting religious messages and Allah will not punish someone if the hujjah is not upheld for him. And as for the meaning of "until we send a messenger" as conveying the message, commands, preaching from Allah, whether it is a prohibition or something that must be practiced and causes someone to be punished or given favors for it.
