The Excellence of Alms in Islam and Its Benefits

Alms is a commendable behavior that is highly favored by Allah SWT and is highly recommended for those of us who have more fortune. Some of the assets we own are the rights of people who can't afford it, so we have to issue their rights so that our assets are clean. Because by giving charity will clean our possessions.

Rasulullah SAW has taught his people to give priority to charity. Alms will make life a blessing. Allah also promises that giving charity does not make us poor.

Precisely Allah will multiply the wealth that we have given. In this article, we will discuss charity in Islam. To find out more, let's look at it together!

1. Giving alms is the obligation of all Muslims, especially for those who can afford it

The command regarding alms has been explained in the Qur'an as follows:

"Turning your face towards the east or west is not a perfect thing, but actually the perfect person is someone who believes in Allah and in His Prophet, and gives the wealth he loves to his relatives, orphans, the poor, ibnu sabil, people who beg and freeing my slaves, and establishing prayers and paying zakat.” (QS. Al-Baqarah: 177)

"And give infaq in the way of Allah and do not throw yourself into destruction, and do good because verily Allah loves those who do good." (QS. Al-Baqarah: 195)

"Who wants to give a loan to Allah, a good loan (spending his wealth in the way of Allah), then Allah will multiply the payment to him with many times over. And Allah constricts and widens (sustenance) and to Him you will be returned." (QS. Al-Baqarah: 245)

"O you who believe, spend with you on some of the good fortune that We have given you before the day comes when there is no buying and selling anymore and there is no more friendship and intercession except by Allah's permission." (QS. Al-Baqarah: 254)
