Muslims are divided into two extreme schools of thought in understanding the jinn phenomenon. There are those who believe in the existence of jinn so much that they fall into polytheism by making them protectors, even–na'udzubillah–to the point of devotion to them. Of course, such beliefs are contrary to the belief system in Islam which teaches the concept of monotheism to Allah SWT.

There are also some Muslims who think that genies are imaginary, aka just an illusion. The reason is that the genie phenomenon is irrational and cannot be proven experimentally. So, they absolutely reject the phenomenon of jinn and consider those who believe in them as heretical. In fact, such an assumption is also not in line with the belief system in Islam, and is not in line with the words of Allah and the words of the Prophet Muhammad.

If atheists do not believe in the existence of jinn and do not believe in supernatural phenomena, this is natural because they do not believe in the information contained in the Koran and the Sunnah of the Prophet. However, if Muslims do not believe in it for reasons that are irrational and cannot be proven experimentally, the quality of their belief in supernatural matters needs to be evaluated: isn't a believer obliged to believe in supernatural matters?
