Among the ways to increase our enthusiasm for worship is to know the virtues of these practices. And among the deeds that have a great reward is charity in the way of Allah.

In accordance with the title of this book, "Chasing Fortune from Alms". One of the virtues of alms is the ease of sustenance that comes to us. That is one of the virtues of charity. This book is also equipped with miracle stories from alms. Alms is an absorption term from Arabic (Shadaqoh) which means giving from a Muslim to another person with the aim of getting a reward from Allah SWT. The gift can be in the form of goods, services or related to a human activity for another human being. This is based on several hadiths from Rasulullah SAW which states that just smiling sincerely is part of alms, or a husband having sex with his wife is part of alms.

Alms is also a good deed ordered by Allah SWT. Where people who give alms will be rewarded with a reward that is priceless by Allah SWT. Sometimes the reward is equal to, or exceeds the alms we give to others. But not a few alms in return only in the form of a reward from Allah SWT alone.

Allah SWT conveys some of the virtues of alms through His word and the hadith of Rasulullah SAW. Allah's purpose in conveying the virtue of this alms is to motivate Muslims to be fond of giving alms. We can imagine, if all Muslims are diligent in giving alms, many people will really feel the benefits.
