RAVE REVIEWS:
“This was an amazing way to walk the Freedom Trail!!! The tracking through the GPS was spot on and it was having all the information provided on all the points!!!”

“I did not know a lot about the American revolutionary war and without overwhelming me, it brought the events of the time to life for me”

"The freedom trail tour was great. Wife and I shared a pair of wireless earbuds which I recommend. The tour is broken into many small sections which automatically stayed as we walked to the next point on the trail. All based on gps location. It all worked perfectly, was extremely easy to use and very informative. Very cheap for a guided tour. Highly recommend”

The app was $6.99 (at the time of the review), and worth every penny. We started at Boston Common and ended at Bunker Hill. Along the way you can stop and the app follows your walking pace. It tells you about places along the way. You can walk the path in your own by following the brick path but the narrator helped us learn a lot of history. Well worth the price.

The freedom trail tour was great. Wife and I shared a pair of wireless earbuds which I recommend. The tour is broken into many small sections which automatically stayed as we walked to the next point on the trail. All based on gps location. It all worked perfectly, was extremely easy to use and very informative. Very cheap for a guided tour, we loved the convenience of self-paced, able to pause and go off trail if needed. Highly recommend.

Woohoo! What an awesome review — you made our day!! And great tip on using earbuds too. We’ve recently added a few additional tours in Boston that might enjoy on your next visit (Ghosts, Harvard, Harborwalk) and some nearby (Lexington & Concord, Salem, Cape Cod). Thanks again!

I had high hopes for this app as we started our walking tour of Boston's Freedom Trail based on the free demo. But after the first couple of stops I realized that my $7 was pretty much wasted. The narrations were pretty superficial with no guidance or segues between stops. The map view was less than helpful as I could never clearly see my own location. Another tourist showed us the free National Park Service app, which, though it has no narration, is probably just as helpful.

Thanks for the feedback. We don’t add directional guidance between stops because there’s a red brick line going from one stop to the next which is easy to follow. But we’ll certainly take it into account for a future update. We rarely get feedback that our content is lacking! Please be sure to utilize the Learn More stories for more content. Thanks
