Having one unifying calendar is very important and is everyone's dream. One sad reality is that Muslims to this day do not have a unique calendar, even though their civilization is more than 14 centuries old.

The absence of a unified calendar has had an impact that we all don't want, namely a kind of chaos in determining important religious days and Islamic worship such as the beginning of Ramadan, Shawwal and Zulhijah.

For example, for Eid al-Adha in 1435 AH (2014 AD), throughout the world there are three different days, namely there is Eid al-Adha on Saturday, October 4 2014 AD, there is Eid on Sunday, October 5 2014 AD, and there is Monday, 6 October 2014 M. Meanwhile, the pilgrims performed wukuf at Arafah on Friday, 3 October 2014. Eid al-Fitr that year also fell on three different days.

The question that arises is why are Muslims able to unify their calendar system and what are the obstacles and problems? How to put the calendar together
