About this app

This Android application is an explanation of the Prophet's example in interacting with his wife by Imam Abdullah El-Rashied. In Pdf format.

Rasulullah saw was a man with perfect qualities in all things, including in interacting with his wives. He is an ideal husband and so gentle in his manners. The Prophet also recommended this as in his words:

“The most perfect faith of a believer is the one with the best morals. And the best of you are those who have the best morals towards their wives." HR. Tirmidhi (no. 1082) & Ibn Hibban (no. 4250)

Rasulullah saw treated his wives with the best treatment that a woman would definitely desire from her husband. There are at least ten important points that we can learn from the example given by the Prophet Muhammad in interacting, treating and responding to his wives.

Once Sayyidah Aisyah r.a. asked: "What did the Messenger of Allah do at home?" He answered:

"He was like other people, cleaning his clothes, milking his goats and sewing his clothes. Serves herself, sewing (repairing) her sandals and doing what men do in their homes. He (also helped) with his family's work and when he heard (the voice of) the Mu'adzdzin he went to pray." HR. Ahmad (6/256), Bukhari in Al-Adab Al-Mufrod (no. 541) & Tirmidhi in his Syamail (no. 330) etc.

Apart from being loyal and romantic, Rasulullah saw was also a typical humorous husband, one of his jokes with his wife was narrated by Sayyidah Aisyah r.a., she said:

"One day Saudah visited us, then the Messenger of Allah sat between me and him. One hand was on my shoulder and the other hand was on his shoulder (Saudah). Then I made Harirah/Khazirah (food made from pieces of meat and flour, like jam), then I said (to Sauda): "Eat!" But he didn't want to eat. Then I said: "Eat or I will smear your face!" Then I took some food from the bowl and smeared Sauda's face with it. Then the Messenger of Allah lifted his foot from Saudah's side so that he (Saudah) would reply to me. Then Sauda took some (food) from the bowl and smeared it on my face while the Messenger of Allah laughed. Then we heard Umar's voice saying "Abdullah Bin Umar, Abdullah Bin Umar." Then the Messenger of Allah said to us: "Wash your faces, it looks like Umar will come in." HR. Nasa'i (no. 8917)
