Sustenance is everything that is beneficial to those who are given sustenance. 1 So that all the goodness enjoyed by a servant is sustenance for that servant. Allah SWT guarantees the sustenance of His creatures, including all creeping animals on earth, both small and large, on land and in the sea. There is not a single living creature that lives on earth except that Allah SWT has determined its sustenance. Allah SWT says:

"There is not a single creeping animal on earth except Allah q who provides its sustenance, He knows the place where the animal lives and the place where it is stored. Everything has been written in a real Book (ie; in Lauhul Mahfuzh)."

Every human being's sustenance has been determined since he was in his mother's womb. As narrated from 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud he said, Rasulullah a told us and he was a righteous and justified person:

"One of you was created in his mother's womb for 40 days, then became a clot of blood for that time, then became a lump of flesh for that same time. Then Allah sent an Angel to him and ordered him to write four sentences. Allah SWT said, “Write it down; his deeds, his death, his fortune, his misfortune or happiness.”

Even though sustenance has been determined, a person does not know how much sustenance he will get during his life. A Muslim must believe that he will never die until he spends all the sustenance that has been determined for him.
