This book contains basic points and needs to be discussed in the Introduction to Jurisprudence course. For example, the author starts from the chapter on the differences between Fiqh and Ushul Fiqh. The next discussion contains a discussion of the relationship between fiqh and other sciences, sources of Islamic law, taklifi law and wadl'i law, ijtihad, ittiba', taqlid and talfiq, the history of fiqh science, and ends with the method of determining fatwas from the Indonesian Ulema Council, bahtsul masa'il Nahdlatul Ulama, Majlis Tarjih Muhammadiyah, and Dewan Hisbah Persis.

The author realizes that this book is still far from perfect—moreover, this is an introductory book that only guides students who are graduates of high school, Madrasah Aliyah, and vocational high school who are currently studying at the Jember State Islamic Institute in particular or generally at the Institute. State Islamic Religion or State Islamic University in Indonesia.
