This book was written as an embodiment of conducting objective and factual research on a system and principles in economics. This is very necessary so that students and Muslims in particular, and the Indonesian people in general, do not misperceive in understanding the principles of the Islamic economic system.

This research sheds a lot of light on the economic systems and principles of the three economic schools or camps that exist in the world.

This book first explains the system and principles of a liberal economy, which prioritizes individual interests, which is better known as the capitalist economic system. Especially the Western bloc (America and its allies). Then it continues with an explanation of the opposite of the capitalist economic system, namely the socialist economic system which prioritizes collective or group interests (the Eastern bloc, the Soviet Union and its allies), which dominated the world economy at that time.

After the two economic systems began to fade, this was followed by the emergence of an alternative economic system, namely the Islamic economic system, which is a mixture of the two systems, with its systems and principles which are currently booming (socialized) by economists in Indonesia.

The book before the reader comes from a thesis in completing the master's program in Islamic Studies with a concentration in Islamic Economics at the Indonesian Islamic University, Yogyakarta, entitled "Comparative Study between the Islamic Economic System and the Capitalist Economic System and the Socialist Economic System, which after editing this book was published.

This book was prepared for students, lecturers, enthusiasts and practitioners of Islamic economics. The need for books on Islamic economics is very representative, because currently similar books are still very limited.
