The book that the reader is facing is a collection of writings by our leading economist, Sritua Ariel, who graduated from America and England, and has lectured in Malaysia for some time. He returned to his homeland with the intention of contributing his thoughts to his nation and country, to all of us. However, he does not agree with the Widjojo group which prioritizes the advice of foreign parties (such as the International Monetary Fund, IGGI, World Bank) rather than their own thoughts. We can firmly say that Sritua Arief with his writings wants to build a people's economy that will make the people prosperous.

His voice is not very audible, because he moves more in areas (such as North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, then Central Java and Yogyakarta) really. His writings also occasionally appear in the Jakarta mass media. But like the fate of our popular figures, the circulation of their writings generally does not have an influence on those who want to make policy. Too bad. It's also a shame because several years ago our friend was called by Allah Almighty.

Nevertheless, hopefully the publication of Srirua Arief's writing will inspire those who are concerned with economic thinking at the national level in our country so that the people's economy is upheld, not the economy of certain groups. We generally still remember how entrepreneurs called conglomerates received enormous benefits under the Soeharto government, but left huge debts to the state, most of which have not yet been repaid - the results of KKN.

Sritua Arief is one of those who has a firm stance in upholding the people's economy. Hopefully his soul will find the best possible place in the sight of Allah SWT, and all his sins and mistakes will be forgiven by Him,' Aamiin.
