Muhammad bin Sirin is an Imam of Ahlus Sunnah who is very well known for adhering to the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alahi wa sallam and is very trustworthy in narrating it. However, did you know that he was also characterized by the ulama of his time as a person who was very wara' (careful in matters of halal and haram) and diligent in his worship.

Imam AdzDzahabi quoted from Abu 'Awanah Al Yasykuri, he said, 'I saw Muhammad bin Sirin in the market, no one saw him unless that person remembered Allah.

Subhanallah, how noble the character of this high priest is. How diligent he was in worshiping and reciting the dhikr of Allah sallallaahu 'alahi wa sallam. So even when he was in the market and buying and selling, this was visible to him.

Isn't it natural that people who are praying in a mosque then those who see them remember Allah sallallaahu 'alahi wa sallam?

But a person who is buying and selling in the market with all his busyness, but his attitude and behavior can remind us of Allah sallallaahu 'alahi wa sallam? Doesn't this show that pious people always keep themselves busy with dhikr and worshiping Him in all circumstances?

It is true that the words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alahi wa sallam, 'Waliwali (lovers) of Allah are people who, if they are looked at, will remind them of Allah.

Our next role model is Imam Ibrahim bin Maimun Ash Shaigh, an Ahlus Sunnah priest from the Atba'ut tabi'in generation. Imam Ibnu Hajar Al'Asqalani stated in his biography that his job was as a metal smith, but if he had listened to the call to prayer for prayer, then even though he had lifted the hammer, he was unable to swing the hammer and he immediately left his job to perform the prayer.

"See how great the fear and reverence for Allah sallallaahu 'alahi wa sallam is in the hearts of those who are pious so that whatever busyness they do does not at all neglect them from fulfilling the call to worship Him.
