About this app

This Android application is an explanation of pursuing the dream of a global young student exchange diary by Afiyatika Mufidati, et al. In Pdf format.

The writing of this book began with the belief that young Indonesian people who had lived to study abroad for a certain period of time certainly had interesting stories that could be written into a story. Their stories will definitely provide positive energy to their generation, a generation that never gets tired of continuing to run and chase the dreams they have been holding onto and then conquer. Then, they continue to provide that positive energy to the next generation. This country exists because of the dreams of young people which continue to be made into reality.

The title of the book "Chasing Dreams: Diary of a Young International Student Exchange" is based on the majority of the authors' stories which tell of their dreams of being able to enjoy the atmosphere of life abroad. With this student exchange program, they can realize the dreams they have always wanted to pursue. In realizing this dream, they must pursue, not wait. They must run, not stand still. They should pick up, not be picked up. They have to struggle, not sit quietly.

This book consists of two main chapters. The first chapter consists of nine diaries written by UMY students from various different study programs. Of the nine stories, one story from Korea by Afiyatika Mufidati (Sun Moon University), one story from Malaysia by Adibah Dhivani Gusmi (Universiti Sains Malaysia), two stories from Taiwan by Rifkha Aulia Faz (Thamkang University) and Hafsah Fajar Jati (Asia University), and five other stories from Thailand. They are Halilintar Yusuf Kohar (Thammasat University), Hizbul Wathan (Thammasat University), Vidya Mar'atusholikha (Khon Kaen University), Indri Nurasa (Ubon Rachathani and Mahasarakham University), and Melda Indrawati (Ubon Rachathani and Mahasarakham University).

The second chapter consists of six stories written in English by foreign students who have done student exchanges at this young, global campus, UMY. They come from two campuses and two different countries, namely Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia and Maejo University, Thailand. Three people from Malaysia are Afiqa Norzharfan bint Abd Majid, Nur Atiqah Izzaty bint Husaidi, and Nor Asyikin Abu Bakar. Meanwhile, three Thai students are Haruthaichanok Kumsai, Supakrit Kantiya, and Kanyarat Saokam.
