This book is a reflection of the problems of corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN) that the Indonesian nation is currently facing. The problem of corruption was initially endemic, then grew until it entered almost all sectors of public services, including institutions and law enforcement officers themselves who should be the hope of preventing and overcoming this problem.

Some legal experts consider that the application of the principle of presumption of innocence is not effective in dealing with corruption, so it is necessary to apply the principle of reverse evidence as a realization of demands for mutual legal justice. The offer to implement the principle of reverse evidence was welcomed by many groups, but quite a few also rejected its implementation for various reasons.

Islamic law, as a legal norm that regulates religious life in society, also needs to be raised to question the validity and effectiveness of the application of the principle of presumption of innocence and the principle of reverse evidence.

Islamic criminal procedural law as one of the basic legal principles in it is found the basis for the application of the principle of presumption of innocence and the principle of reverse evidence. However, these are basic principles, so they require elaboration and regulation regarding the technical implementation.

In this case, it is the duty of the authority holder to formulate it. In overcoming the problem of corruption from an Islamic legal perspective, the principle of presumption of innocence and the principle of reverse evidence can be applied, and sometimes the technical application of these two principles must be developed in order to achieve more important principles, namely the principles of justice, legal benefit and public benefit.
