The book with the title Reading Literature Makes Sense of Culture; These Literary and Cultural Studies essays contain writings that review theoretical concepts, the context of works and cultural practices, to light analyzes of how to read literary works and cultural practices using literary theories and cultural theories. Readings of literary works, films, cultural phenomena, and the history of cultural politics also color the exploration in this book.

This book is the focus of my second book, namely about literature and culture. Where the first book is entitled Ghosts, Myths, and Traps of Power; The Social and Political Essays published in early 2018 focused on discussing social and political issues. These two different focuses are intended so that the reading of my works over the last ten years in the world of higher education in the fields of language, literature and culture can be clustered well. And it is also hoped that the reading public will read it well and carefully.

At the same time, input, comments and criticism from the reading public are highly expected by the author personally. However, because there is no ivory that is not cracked, this book is no different, so all input is highly appreciated for improving future works and creations.

I must acknowledge the presence of my second book with all humility because of the help and inspiration from many groups. There are so many, as a writer who is indebted to all of them, I must apologize for not being able to mention them one by one in this foreword.
