The tongue has no bones but it is sharper than a sword, as the saying goes. Keeping your mouth shut is not an easy matter. Imam Abu Hatim Ibnu Hibban Al-Busti in Raudhah Al-'Uqala wa Nazhah Al-Fudhala advises that sensible people should keep quiet more than talk. That's because how many people regret talking and few regret being silent. A sensible person should use his ears more than his mouth. He needs to realize that he was given two ears, while he only had one mouth so that he could hear more than talk.

A person who can speak with his tongue is a great gift that God gave to His creation. So it is appropriate for us to use this gift with trust, not by saying bad things and tyrannizing other people. Because bad words can make a Muslim fall into His wrath. The Messenger of Allah said: "Indeed, if a servant speaks one sentence that is not true (bad), it will slide him into hell which is further between east and west (HR. Bukhari).
