This Android application is an explanation of the book entitled Looking Islam In The Food by Dr. Hariansyah, M.Sc. In Pdf format.

The book manuscript which is currently in the hands of readers is the result of group research written jointly by Hariansyah and Ana Rosilawati. The author hopes that this book manuscript can provide different information from several previous manuscripts with the same theme.

This book presents a lot of new data containing various ways in which people in West Kalimantan maintain various local traditions and uniqueness in interacting Islamically using cultural methods. Efforts to maintain various traditions are at least a reflection of the psycho-ethnicity of the community in conveying the various differences that exist in their respective environments.

There are so many Islamic values ​​that have been practiced over time, although they don't always have to be through rituals and worship. Islam is dialogued and practiced in food [culinary] along with social interaction in the form of local traditions as a wrapper. The method adopted by our ancestors seems to send a signal that Islam has become part of their daily lives. This actually strengthens Indonesia's original Islamic identity.

The translation of Islam into everyday life even touches on the issue of eating [culinary], which for some circles is considered a trivial matter. This text aims to explore and preserve big ideas that have been living "unconsciously" because they have become an inherent part of psycho-ethno which no longer seems to need to be questioned and requires a headache-inducing academic explanation. All these [culinary] eating activities occur in a space of deep dialogue, so colossal and impressive.

It has been proven that eating [culinary food] is not always about fulfilling basic individual needs as Maslow believed. However, it has created a wave of massive spread of Islam that has penetrated the social life of society all the way to the very back of the house: the kitchen.

This is a sign that Islam has proven to be able to have an impact on the furthest reaches of human life, touching on issues that determine human life: the need for food [culinary]. There are so many Islamic teachings that have been practiced silently in eating traditions. Even though it is silent, this tradition should be preserved so that it can be cared for, imitated and practiced in various places in Indonesia in an effort to build an Islamic and better Indonesia in the future.
