About this app

This Android application is an explanation of Islam in various dimensions by Dr. Daud Rasyid, MA. In Pdf format.

If you can put it like this, Islam is like an ocean whose springs never dry up, no matter how many people take the water. Everyone can introduce new theories and concepts from Islam, from various points of view. However, Islam has never "drought" as a result of which many people have "drawn" theories from its contents.

The book that the author presents to readers is a drop of water from the vast "ocean" of Islam, from various points of view according to the author's vision and ability to understand it. This book is a collection of the author's writings over several years, most of which have not yet been published in mass media.

Islam is a universal religion that regulates the entire order of human life. The systems and concepts brought by Islam are actually value-packed and provide extraordinary benefits to humanity. The concept is not only useful for the Muslim community, but can be enjoyed by anyone. This Islamic system does not recognize boundaries of space and time, but is suitable to be applied anytime and anywhere, without eliminating the specific factors of a society. The more fully the concept is applied, the greater the benefits that can be achieved.

This book consists of six chapters. Chapter One discusses 'Basics of Islam' such as: Aqidah, Al-Qur'an, Sunnah, Morals and Worship, which are summarized in one theme entitled "Dīnul Islam". Chapter Two dissects 'Islamic Thought'. As is understood, the thinking aspect is a somewhat risky part, because it is related to reason, whose function is to think.

What is often a topic of discussion, especially among intellectuals, is how to think according to Islamic concepts? Is it permissible in Islam to think freely, without knowing limits, where humans can think about anything, with any method and come to any conclusion? Or is there some kind of 'Frame' (dhawābith) that always guides the human mind in thinking so as not to think about things that are beyond its reach. Because - agree or not - human reason is limited. This is what the author will discuss in chapter two. This chapter also explains a bit of the services of Islamic intellectuals, especially the history of their writings (kitāb), and several other writings.
