For decades I have observed our social environment, how our society is so interested in political issues. Often when visiting Jakarta or other areas, I communicate with taxi drivers, motorbike taxi drivers, street hawkers, and it is very clear how enthusiastic they are in explaining the political events that are taking place. The problem is, how can they analyze political events without knowing the analysis tools?

Thus, there is often a wrong perception and understanding of a political event that is taking place. For example, we find many people who think politics is bad, often brings damage, creates conflict, divides people. So, many people hate politics. In fact, assuming politics like that is something wrong. Many people misunderstand what politics really means. To understand the political framework properly and correctly is of course not an easy matter. We must be persistent in reading books, exploring the references that are so widely spread. Never mind for the general public, even for political scholars it is not easy.

There was a lot of experience when completing political science studies from 2013-2018 at the University of Indonesia. This experience teaches that it is not easy to understand politics comprehensively. We as students, who have been associated with political science terms for a long time, have a very difficult time adjusting to so much information floating around. That information, how difficult it is to digest. Not only the general public, even we also experienced the same thing.

If we want to educate the public, it is not enough to just hope that people read books or dig into journals, both national and international.

The results of years of in-depth reading and observation have inspired the birth of this book. A book that tries its best to combine political theory and practice simultaneously. Sometimes, for scientists, the thought that politicians have veered far from the philosophical basis of politics is awakening. On the other hand, for politicians, political scientists are too pedantic and don't understand the situation at all.


Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
