National identity, whether in political, economic, cultural and even religious aspects, is always an interesting topic of study today. This is because the identity of "Indonesianness" is often the main axis of study in various symposiums, seminars and scientific discussions among the academic community. Of course, this cannot be separated from the practical needs of the Indonesian people who need the concept of "Indonesianness" as a philosophical-ideological basis for the state, nation and religion.

The increasingly rapid development of information technology has made globalization a big wave that cannot be avoided. On the one hand, globalization is a positive wave that can encourage Indonesian people to participate and play an active role in building world civilization. But on the other hand, globalization with its various tools has forced Indonesian society, and world society in general, to merge and let go of various forms of national identity. It is in this context that Indonesian society, and world society in general, can be said to be experiencing uncertainty. The flow of globalization seems to have dragged a nation on a wave of merging of personal identities into a global community that is no longer divided by cultural identity, religion, and so on.

The logical consequence that befell the Indonesian nation-society as a result of this wave is the increasingly eroding Indonesian identity itself. Of course, this is not interpreted as a result of the lack of a philosophical-ideological basis that can be guided by Indonesian society. However, the increasingly uncontrolled development of globalization has given rise to new challenges. Therefore, the previously existing philosophical-ideological foundations of the Indonesian nation need to be reinterpreted as an effort to contextualize and adapt to today's global challenges.

In this context, efforts to rethink, re-actualize and revitalize the identity of "Indonesianness" can be an alternative in protecting Indonesian society from the onslaught of globalization. Nowadays, Indonesian society is in need of a philosophical-ideological foundation that can be guided by so that they are not easily fooled by the seduction of globalization which tends to lull them into sleep. It is through rethinking, reactualization and revitalization efforts that we can save our nation from an era of identity "poverty".
