This book presents the concept of homeschooling which is divided into three, namely theoretical, practical and juridical concepts. The process of compiling this book was certainly not free from several obstacles, so this book still has shortcomings in terms of technical, writing and content.

Every parent always has a dream that their children receive a quality education, good faith and moral values ​​are instilled, and a pleasant learning atmosphere for children. Often these things are not found by parents in public schools. Therefore, the idea emerged for parents to "school" their children at home. In its development, school institutions were established which were called home schools (homeschooling) or also known as independent schools, or home education or home based learning.

Homeschooling is a place where parents hope to improve the quality of their children's education, develop faith/religious and moral values ​​and obtain a pleasant learning atmosphere. Unfortunately, not all Indonesian people really understand the concept of homeschooling. It is hoped that this book, entitled "Homeschooling, Theoretical and Practical Studies", will provide understanding for both the public and homeschooling activists as well as those involved in non-formal and informal educational institutions.
