A man is responsible for his wife before God, for he is her guardian and shepherd, and every shepherd is responsible for his pasture.

This is explained in an authentic hadith. Therefore, husbands must teach their wives about religious matters that they do not know about, for example thahirah, ablution, the laws of menstruation, childbirth, istihadhah, prayer, fasting, reading al-Our'an, and remembrance of Allah.

The husband must also tell his wife about his obligations towards family, neighbors and relatives, how he should dress appropriately according to religion, avoid seclusion and gathering with men, how to talk to men if there is an urgent problem, as well as other religious issues.

If the husband cannot afford it, he must look for a cleric who can teach them as a family, or he can ask the cleric to convey it to his family. If he does not do this, he is obliged to allow his wife to go out to study and study.

And if the husband still does not allow her to go out, the wife can go out without her husband's permission if the aim is to learn obligatory and haram things. When she understands these obligatory and haram matters, it is not permissible for her to seek other knowledge, except with her husband's permission.

In general, husbands are obliged to protect their wives and families from the threat of hellfire. You can teach him the basics of religion (ushuluddin), how to believe in Allah with true faith, monotheify Him with pure monotheism, believe in asthma' and His qualities that are worthy of His position, teach him about the obligatory nature, the nature of ja'iz, and the impossible nature of Allah, belief in what comes from Allah (the pillars of faith), and all Islamic laws that must be implemented along with knowledge about halal and haram in religion.

The husband must also teach his wife the procedures and laws relating to worship, ensuring that she carries them out continuously, especially praying at the beginning of the time, the conditions and pillars, things that can damage and cancel the prayer, things that makruh in prayer, other acts of worship, as well as Allah's rights over wives and household rights.

Apart from that, husbands must also teach their wives about good morals, how to guard their hearts from the disease of hasad and envy, guard their tongues from backbiting, fighting against each other, criticizing and lying.

In carrying out all this, the husband must continue to supervise and control his wife as much as possible.

Allah says, "O you who believe, protect yourselves and your families from the fire of hell whose fuel is people and stones, whose guardians are harsh, harsh angels, who do not disobey Allah in what He has commanded them, and always do what you are told." (OS. At-Tahrim: 6).
