Work is an important activity to the extent that work is the same as worship (Ahmad and Owoyemi, 2012). Work ethic has elements of ability, skill, work discipline and thoroughness so that it can provide better work results.

Majid (2000) states that the word "ethos" is taken from the words "ethics" and "ethical" which refer to the meaning of morals or morals, namely the essential qualities of a person or group, including a nation. Thus, the Islamic work ethic is based on morals or ethics in accordance with Islamic values ​​so that in carrying out work no longer requires other concepts because the soul already believes it to be something good and right.

Ali and Owaihan (2008) say that since the beginning of the Muslim era, they have offered views on work and have clearly formulated the concept of work ethic. Work ethic is closely related to the work values ​​believed and possessed by an employee, which will influence the employee's attitude towards work.
