Success, Rich and Happy with Asma'ul Husna
The focus of this book is how we make Asma'ul Husna a tool for "Knowing Allah" (stage I) and then "learning and imitating Him" (stage 5). "Knowing Allah" can be achieved through "reading" His verses, both those written in His holy books (qauliyah) and those spread widely through His creation (kauniyah). Meanwhile, "learning and imitating Him" can be done by practicing "motivational and self-development messages" contained in the depth of the meaning of Allah's names. This learning and exemplary process is of course adjusted according to our human dimensions. (The other three stages: begging, complaining and asking for protection have been discussed in another author's book; Great Success with Allah's Intervention: The Power of Prayer with Asma'ul Husna, Tazkia Publishing 2008).
Even though the subject matter in this book gives the impression of a "leap" in making Asma'ul Husna a tool for getting closer to Allah - including improving the quality of our personality and life - but in practice this is not the case.
The reason is, between the process of "knowing Allah" (stage I) to "learning and imitating Him" (stage S), we are naturally required to "beg" (hold 2), "complain" (stage 3), and "ask for protection" (stage 4) to Him.
Considering that in the depths of the meaning of Allah's asthma there are "messages of motivation and self-development": Asma'ul Husna can be used as a source of attitude and mental foundation in our daily lives. By being imbued with the greatness contained in His names, God willing, we will achieve happiness in life, even success in business.
As Muslims, of course we already know a number of good and beautiful names for Allah (Asma'ul Husna). In a hadith it is stated that Asma'ul Husna consists of 99 (ninety-nine). Rasulullah SAW said:
"Indeed Allah has 99 names, namely 100 minus one....."
Some Muslim scholars see the redaction of this hadith not in the form of takhshir or limitation, but in the form of ikhbar or information. This means that Allah has 99 names and Allah still has other names. It's no different from saying that Abdurrahman bin 'Auf has savings in a sharia bank of 700 million rupiah, which doesn't mean that all the money he has is only that amount. It would be different if it were said that Abdurrahman bin 'Auf's total savings were only Rp. 700 million.
Apart from that, the hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah above does not clearly specify the names of Allah in question. Likewise, it does not detail one by one the 99 names of Allah in the complete text (text). That is why a number of scholars have carried out ijtihad to find out even though the scholars have different opinions about the number of Asma'ul Husna.
Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
