This Android application is an explanation of the Al-Qur'an and its translation, the Enhanced Edition of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion. In Pdf format.

In line with the development of the Indonesian language and input from the public regarding the substance of the translation, in 2016-2019 Lajnah Pentashihan Mushaf Al-Qur'an again carried out studies and development of the translation of the Al-Qur'an for the Ministry of Religion.

This improvement was carried out through several series of activities, namely: First, public consultations with certain communities, such as universities, the Indonesian Ulema Council and Islamic boarding schools to gather constructive input and suggestions for improving the translation of the Al-Qur'an; Second, online public consultation through the public consultation portal; Third, field research related to the use of Al-Qur'an translations in society; Fourth, regular study session of members of the study expert team; Fifth, Public Test or authentic test of the results of the study and refinement of the translation of the Al-Qur'an through a scientific forum attended by ulama and Al-Qur'an experts from various provinces in Indonesia.

Completion and improvement of the translation of the Al-Qur'an was carried out comprehensively, covering the following aspects:

1. Language aspects and word choice. The words chosen refer to the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI). Likewise with the sentence structure, it is adapted to Indonesian language rules while still paying attention to the source language (Al-Qur'an language).
2. Aspects of consistency, especially in translation of verses and diction.
3. Substantial aspect, which concerns the meaning and content of the verse.

Apart from these aspects, this improved translation of the Al-Qur'an is also equipped with a preamble which contains systematics and translation methods. There are fewer footnotes than in the previous edition, because some of the additional information is directly included in the translation, written in brackets, that is, reduced by 167 from the original 930 footnotes to 763 footnotes. This translation is also equipped with subtitles and translation of surah names.

The study and refinement of the translation of the Al-Qur'an involved Al-Qur'an experts, tafsir, Arabic and a team of Indonesian language experts. Regarding the linguistic aspect, institutionally Lajnah Pentashihan Mushaf Al-Qur'an collaborates with the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture's Language Development and Development Agency.
