As explained in this book, the Reformation, which came with a storm of crisis, was indeed successful in forcing the 32-year dictator Suharto to step down from office, but not all problems could be resolved immediately. Most of the fundamental problems have not been touched by reform.

On the other hand, the Soeharto government panicked and returned to its mentor's arms, as explained in this book, after it was proven that the recipes given had failed. Indonesia did not take off after 30 years of implementing these recipes. Then the government after Suharto was forced to carry out the mentor's recipes using the funds it had. As a result, every effort to improve by mobilizing creative abilities becomes marginal and stalls.

This book is the result of 10 years of journalistic research, as well as a comprehensive critical analysis of every event that occurred during that time. I purposely did not give him a specific chapter as an introduction. Because if there is an introduction, then the next requirement is a special concluding chapter at the end which contains the conclusion.

The preparation of a book like this is indeed suitable for scientific writings or dissertations on campuses. However, for books such an arrangement is inappropriate and looks old-fashioned. Because the conclusions drawn are very patronizing to the reader and ruin the enjoyment of reading. Such writers seem afraid that readers will come to other conclusions.
