The Holy Quran Radio from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia began broadcasting from the city of Riyadh on the first of Safar 1392 AH, corresponding to March 16, 1972 AD; The recitation of the Qur’an constitutes 75% of the broadcast time, and the rest is concerned with the sciences of the Qur’an, the Sunnah and religious sciences. It is broadcast on the 100 FM wave in Riyadh and the 91.5 FM wave in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, as well as on medium waves and short waves.
