The Book of Shafwatu Zubad or better known as Matan Zubad contains three important disciplines in Islam, namely monotheism, fiqh, and tasawuf. The three sciences are a reflection of the hadith narrated by Umar's friend about Islam, faith, and ihsan.

Ibnu Ruslan composed this matan in the form of rajaz, as it is more often used in several existing manzhumah books. Even though it is in the form of a nazham, Zubad's matan is quite easy to understand for students or beginners. Matan, which contains the essence of fiqh laws, is very suitable to be used as a guide for us in navigating the ark of life in the world.

We hope that the presence of this book can help teachers and students better understand the contents of Matan Zubad's book, so that they can add to the treasures of Islamic science, especially fiqh, monotheism and tasawuf.

For all the shortcomings in this translation, the authors expect suggestions from all readers. We realize that there are still many shortcomings, it is to Allah that we ask forgiveness and hope that this work can provide benefits, a great contribution to life in this world (knowledge). Amen.
