Imam Syafi'i was the first person to bring up brilliant ideas and ideas to write rules regarding Islamic law which were systematically poured into a paper entitled al-Umm.

Al-Umm's book is Imam Syafi'i's fiqh book which contains rules for determining Islamic laws, to make it easier for a servant to know the signs that have been set by the divine. This bookkeeping effort was in line with the development of Islamic science at that time. The development of this science began during the time of Harun al-Rashid (145 H -193 H), and peaked during the time of Al Ma'mun (170 H 218 H).

This book is the main reference for the Syafi'iyyah fikh experts in compiling their works to date. This book is summarized to make it easier for lay readers to understand the fiqh description of Imam Shafi'i's methodology.
