About this app

This Android application is Ramadan Between Sharia And Tradition. In PDF format.

Author : Ahmad Sarwat, Lc., MA.

For the Indonesian people, Ramadan is not only a matter of religion or sharia, but has transformed into a matter of tradition which is difficult to separate from the lifestyle and mentality of the nation.

The tradition of this month of Ramadan is very attached in such a way that it becomes an indication of how attached the Islamic religion is to the lifestyle and lifestyle of the Indonesian people. It would be a big mistake to say that Islam is only a newcomer in this archipelago. The influence of Islam can be said to be very close and can never be replaced by any value.

However, behind the excitement and fanfare of this nation's Ramadan tradition, criticism sometimes arises that examines how far this tradition is still firmly based on the original Islamic law as stated in Al-Quran Al-Kariem and As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyah.

From some of these traditions, some are still original without experiencing significant deviations, but also not a few have experienced deviations. In this case, we can divide the relationship between community traditions towards the festivities of the month of Ramadan compared to the authenticity of Islamic law into three types of relationships.

First, traditions that are still in line with Islamic law in a pure and patent manner, and are indeed based on specific arguments that are ordered to be carried out in the month of Ramadan.

Second, traditions that are still in line with Islamic law in general, but are not specifically ordered to be carried out only in the month of Ramadan.

Third, traditions that have absolutely no basis from Islamic law, and even tend to be contradictory.
