This Android application is an explanation of Syarah Al Arba'in An Nawawiyah Diktat for Hadith Science Courses by Ibnu Daqiqil'ied. In Pdf format.

He is Yahya bin Syaraf bin Hasan bin Husain An-Nawawi Ad-Dimasyqiy, Abu Zakaria. He was born in the month of Muharram in 631 H in Nawa, a village in the Dimasyq area (Damascus) which is now the capital of Syria. He was educated by his father who was famous for his piety and piety. He started studying and memorizing the Al-Quran before reaching puberty.

An-Nawawi lived in Nawa until he was 18 years old. Then in 649 H he began his journey to study in Dimasyq by attending scientific halaqahs held by the city's ulama. He lived at the Ar-Rawahiyyah madrasa near Al-Jami' Al-Umawiy. Imam Nawai made studying as his main activity.

It is said that he attended twelve halaqahs a day. He was very diligent and memorized many things. He also outperformed his other friends. He said: "And I wrote everything related to it, both explanations of difficult sentences and giving meaning to words. And Allah has given me blessings in my time." [Syadzaratudz Dzahab 5/355].

Among his teachers: Abul Baqa' An-Nablusiy, Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad Al-Ausiy, Abu Ishaq Al-Muradiy, Abul Faraj Ibn Qudamah Al-Maqdisiy, Ishaq bin Ahmad Al-Maghribiy and Ibnul Firkah. And among his students: Ibnul 'Aththar Asy-Syafi'iy, Abul Hajjaj Al-Mizziy, Ibnun Naqib Asy-Syafi'iy, Abul 'Abbas Al-Isybiliy and Ibnu 'Abdil Hadi.

In 651 H he performed the Hajj with his father, then he went to Medina and stayed there for one and a half months then returned to Dimasyq. In 665 H he taught at Darul hadith Al-Asyrafiyyah (Dimasyq) and refused to take a salary.

He was nicknamed Muhyiddin (who brings religion to life) and hated this title because of his tawadhu'. Besides that, Islam is a living and strong religion, it does not need anyone to revive it so that it becomes a proof for those who underestimate it or abandon it. It is reported that he said: "I will not forgive those who call me Muhyiddin."

Imam An-Nawawi was a person who was ascetic, wara' and devout. He is simple, qana'ah and authoritative. He spent much of his time in obedience. Often don't sleep at night to worship or write. He also upheld the commandments of ma'ruf nahi munkar, including towards rulers, in the manner outlined by Islam.
