About this app

This Android application is 35 Benefits of Fasting for Humans. In PDF format.

This book contains 35 spiritual, mental and physical health benefits as a result of expert studies, most of which have been listed in various scientific journals, especially medical journals in various parts of the world. These researchers see fasting as a human activity in general, regardless of religious background and beliefs. This further gives confidence to anyone who is fasting for the great benefits it contains. Especially for Muslims; worship as an obligation or sunnah (benefit of the afterlife), plus extraordinary bonus benefits (physical and mental health) for life in the world.

Every year, Muslims around the world observe their religious injunction to fast for a month during Ramadan. Sometimes 29 days, sometimes 3o days according to the calculation of the Hijri calendar, which is based on the rotation of the moon. Obedient Muslims must carry out this fasting as well as possible.

This obligation to fast is clearly stated in the Muslim holy book (Al Quran) in Surah Al-Baqarah. Allah swt., ordered this worship as he had been ordered to the people before. Therefore, fasting for a full month in Ramadan is also one of the Pillars of Islam. As part of the Pillars of Islam, fasting is as vital and important as the other four pillars, namely the pledge of two sentences of creed, performing the five daily prayers, giving zakat, and performing the pilgrimage to the Baitullah.

Fasting is also sunnah at times other than the month of Ramadan. Sunnah fasting means recommended. There are several sunnah fasts that are prescribed, namely fasting Monday - Thursday (twice a week), fasting three days every month (on the 13th, 14th and 15th of each Hijri month), fasting six days in the month of Shawwal, fasting in the month of Muharram, fasting in the month of Rajab, and several others including intermittent fasting of the Prophet David AS (a day of fasting, a day of not).

But apparently, behind the obligatory and sunnah orders, there are extraordinary benefits from fasting for those who carry it out. Allah, the Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omniscient, certainly gives orders to His creatures with a very positive impact. The impact and benefits are not only spiritual, which has been proven. However, also on the physical, mental, and overall health aspects.
