This is a collection of manaqib (biography), wirid and works of Quthb Daa`irah al-Imkaan ash-Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Karim bin Hasan bin Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Ahmad As-Samman bin Abdullah al-Madani, founder of Thoriqah Sammaniyah, a wali who is famous in his time until now, whose influence is widespread from Medina al-Munawwarah to Sudan, North Yemen, Egypt, Nigeria, to Atheya and Southeast Asia including Thailand and Indonesia, especially on the islands of Borneo and Sulawesi, may Allah ta'ala bless him .

Alfaqier had the desire to write this study to describe the complete figure of Wali Samman, with his manaqib, wirid and works that reached Alfaqier, given the limited references to him on Borneo. Even though this great scholar had many works that he wrote, many students that he produced, and many historians who wrote his history in their history books.

The purpose of writing the set of manaqib, wirid and the works of Sheikh Samman is to:

1. Tracing more complete historical records about Sheikh Samman al-Madani.

2. Enlivening his vast and deep scientific treasures, by rewriting his works which are still in manuscript form, and presenting them with a modern writing system along with their philological studies.

3. Review and deepen the Thoriqah Sammaniyah which is a fusion of several thoriqah: Qadiriyah, Khalwatiyah, Junaidiyah, Naqsyabandiyah, Syadziliyah, „Alawiyah, Anfasiyah, Asmaa`iyah, and others.

4. Fostering love and admiration for him by introducing him more fully to readers and the Islamic community, especially Islamic boarding schools and lovers of Sufi scholars.

5. Hoping for his intercession and blessings in this world and the hereafter.
