The book "Matan Jurumiyyah" is a basic book in studying Arabic morphology (ilmu nahwu) by Imam Abu Abdillah Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Daud ash-Shanhaji (672 H - 723 H).

The book "Matan Jurumiyyah" is quite thin, but it cannot be separated from the praise of the ulama, because its content and benefits are so great. Apart from the language and editorial formation which are easy to understand, the Matan Jurumiyah book is also presented with explanations that are not long-winded. There is no difference of opinion, direct reference to the subject of discussion.

Methodologically, the book Matan Jurumiyah is structured deductively, where the book first presents the rules and then presents examples to add to or strengthen the explanation of the rules themselves. Until now, the book Matan Jurumiyah is still widely studied by students in some, even the majority of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. Students will usually study the book in basic nahwu learning.
