This book was actually compiled against the backdrop of the increasing incessant Wahhabi/Salafi currents which try to negatively frame practices that have long been practiced by Indonesian Muslims, in general, and the people of North Sumatra in particular.

These practices began to be disturbed and bid'ah-bid'akan some even to the point of making Muslims who practice them infidel.

So on this occasion, the Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Board of North Sumatra, through several of their syriac administrators, tried to answer these negative accusations based on sound arguments, both from the Qur'an, Hadith, the practices of friends and scholars. the Ahlusunah wal Jama'ah school.

Hopefully this Amaliyah Handbook will be useful for Muslims in fortifying themselves from Wahhabism/Salafi ideas, and finally getting blessings from Allah subhanahu wata'ala.
