About this app

Learn all 86 symbols in Sequoyah's Cherokee Syllabary by learning to handwrite each, row by row.

This app features:

1) A learning functionality where you trace each symbol in the syllabary
2) A practice portion where you must recall the symbol given the sound it represents, and draw it
3) A reading practice section where you are given a symbol and must type out its sound it Latin characters

This is a self-guided app which features a self-rating system where you judge yourself based on how accurate your handwritten symbols are. At the end of every practice session you receive a report of the symbols you always recalled correctly as well as the ones that you missed.

This app needs some work. Especially in the tracing and pronunciation chapters, your app can benefit from a little more work (such as pre-recorded sounds for each letter).

A decent way to actually teach children and beginners the Syllabary Sequoyah wanted use to learn to read oppose to just learning the english spelling of each phonetic sounds that the syllabary represent.
