About this game

“Lune” takes place in a distant future, where humanity has achieved deep space travel and created sentient AI. The player enters as Turin and is prompted to make choices, which will dictate her statistics, battle options and ultimately decide her fate.

Trapped on the moon, Turin and her companions must uncover mysteries and work together in the face of ever waning odds. Choose your path as you watch this immersive story unfold. Will you align yourself with humanity or machine? Or perhaps you will find another way.

Lune was designed by Bridgette, 16, a finalist of Google Play’s Change the Game Design Challenge. In partnership with Girls Make Games, Bridgette worked with GMG’s development team to bring her game to life.

A gem of a visual novel that's a little rough around the edges. The core of it is good: choices that change your experience alongside a compelling story. That said, some technical features are missing or unpolished, including the inability to skip over previously read text, and audio that will sometimes cut off abruptly. Overall, these minor issues only slightly hinder what is ultimately an interesting little visual novel.

The overall atmosphere and art is nicely done and I think the script is pretty good. I am not very interested in the sci-fi genre, so I don't think I'll finish, but I think someone into that sort of thing would enjoy the story. I am familiar with visual novels, so I wasn't bothered by the slow burn gameplay. -spoiler ahead- The battle with the alien was pretty fun and unexpected though!

Nice art style, very retro story progression style (Chat boxs, etc), but it's very BORING. I didn't even make it past the introduction of the characters, there is nothing interesting to actually grab our attention and give us a reason to actually pay attention and get past the scenes. Also it's very repetitive with lack of detail. The character development is bad and we could've used a backstory. I understand this is a game developed as part of a youth education program so keep it up. :)
