In Arabic, Kurban is known as al-Udh-hiyyah, meaning according to language is the animal that is sacrificed, or the animal that is slaughtered on the day of Idhul Adha.

Meanwhile, according to Fiqh experts, al-Udh-hiyyah is slaughtering certain animals, at certain times, with the intention of getting closer to Allah SWT.
