And this monotheism is the religion of the apostles, which Allah sent them to bring that religion to His servants.

The first messenger (from Allah's apostles) was Prophet Nuh (He was sent by Allah Stw. to his people when they worshiped their pious people too much, namely: Wadda, Suwa', Ya'uq, and Nasr, while the last of the apostles was Prophet Muhammad SAW.

He was the one who destroyed the statues of the pious people. He was sent by Allah to a people who always worship, make pilgrimages, give alms, and increase dhikr (remember) to Allah, but they still make creatures as intermediaries between them and Allah.

Then they said, "We want from them (the intermediaries) as an approach to Allah.
