Definition of Story :

The story comes from Arabic and the plural form is qaf which is read as kasrah. Stories in Arabic are stories that are narrated and told. The Al-Qur'an has named the news of the previous people that were conveyed to us as stories. God said, "Thus We tell you some of the stories of people who have passed." (QS. Thaha: 99).

"That is part of the news of the countries (which have been destroyed) that we told you (Muhammad), among those countries there are still traces of them and there are (also) which have been destroyed." (QS. Huud: 100).

"And all the stories of the Apostles We tell you, are stories with which We strengthen your heart." (QS. Huud: 120).

"We tell you the best story." (QS. Yusuf: 3)

And Allah named the story of Moses' announcement about the events that happened to him to the father of the two women he had helped water the cattle, "So when Moses came to his father and told him the story of him." (QS. Al-Qashash: 25).
