This Android application is an explanation about Islam being abused by Muhammad Abduh Tuasikal and Abu Muslih Ari Wahyudi. In PDF format.

He stated that the word 'Muslim' in the Qur'an (as in the verse wa laa maututunna illa wa antum muslimuun) has a broader meaning than just a person who is a Muslim.

According to him, Muslim is a character/characteristic that is attached to every person who obeys and submits to the commandments of God's word, while Islam is synonymous with religion.

So that the word of Allah (which means), "Do not die except as Muslims." cannot be interpreted as "do not die except in a state of embracing Islam". In other words, he wanted to say that those who could survive were not only Muslims. Therefore, he said that the interpretation of our scholars towards the word 'Muslim' in the Qur'an as a person who is Muslim is a cultural error (misconception).

Rebuttal:
In fact, the words of this person are no different from the words of Liberals who interpret 'Muslim' as anyone who submits to the Supreme Being, namely Allah Ta'ala. So whoever the person is -according to them- as long as he surrenders to Allah then he is a Muslim and gets the guarantee of heaven. If we want to briefly refute this, then we can say that in fact words like this only come from people who do not understand the contents of the Qur'an. So, can the words of people who do not understand the contents of the Qur'an be used as a guide?

In order to further prove this fatal mistake, we will mention several verses of the Qur'an along with the interpretations of commentators that are contrary to the interpretation above.
