A nice and comfortable house is synonymous with large size, spacious land with a magnificent design. But owning a house like that is certainly not easy, especially since land prices are increasingly expensive. Modern homes are now the best-selling model that many people like. Are traditional houses then abandoned? of course not if traditional dwelling can become a modern residential classic style.
Not only in rural areas, many inns, hotels and luxury resorts use traditional art for building interior design. At first glance traditional buildings are outdated, but unique traditional styles are still ingrained in various buildings in Indonesia. There are many modern home designs that use traditional themes with a touch of the present. Applying a traditional style house today, can add a beautiful and natural atmosphere in the style of a modern country house.
Joglo house is not only seen as a residence, but also a symbol for Javanese people. Although recognized as a typical Central Javanese traditional house, not all people in Java have a joglo house design because of the times. Joglo house design remains attractive. Joglo house design looks simple, but the complexity of making it makes the process of joglo house typical of Central Java takes more time and money compared to modern home models. The shape of a joglo house is able to fight tropical heat and heavy rain, but is still able to flow air inside the house.
There are three forms of traditional Javanese house design roofs from the lowest to the highest:
Kampung: The simplest roof with its roof rests on the four central pillars and is supported by two layers of fastening poles. The roof ridge is supported by a buffer with the North-South axis.
Limasan: The most common type for Javanese houses. The basic plan of the four pillars is extended by adding a pair of poles to one end of the roof.
Joglo: The most typical and complicated roof. The main roof is steeper, while the roof ridge is not along the limasan house. Four main pillars that support the roof above it are typical arrangements in the form of layered poles.
Tips on designing a modern Javanese style house that is using wood material on floors, cabinets, beds, furniture or other furniture by maintaining the natural color of wood. Home ceiling can be made with wood material that has a triangular design on the roof. With a triangular shape, not only makes a modern home have a Javanese impression but also makes the house look spacious because of the high roof effect. In addition to wood, the use of rattan in furniture can be a solution, as in the model of rattan chair tables, rattan lamps and other elements. You can use black on the rattan to give an elegant and traditional impression.
