Imrithi dan Terjemah

Nadhom Imrithi Book - The original title of this book is ad-Durrotu al-Bahiyyah Nadzmu al-Ajurumiyyah. But among us it is more popular as Imrithi. In fact, Imrithi is the name of the author's place of origin, namely Amrith or Imrith, the name of a village in Egypt. Perhaps it is simpler to call it Imrithi's book rather than its long original title.

The author's full name is Yahya bin Nur ad-Din Abi al-Khoir bin Musa al-Imrithi as-Syafi'i al-Anshori al-Azhari, nicknamed Syarof ad-Din. He was a 16th century AD scholar who was an al-Azhar scholar. Another nickname is an-Nadzim, because of his skill in making nadzom. And his most famous nadzom form is of course the book Imrithi.

Imrithi is a book that establishes Jurumiyyah, a basic level book of nahwu science. The purpose of menadzomkan is that the author takes the material in Jurumiyyah which is in the form of prose, then recreates it into an essay in the form of poetry. Turning prose into poetry has become a writing tradition in the Arab world.

However, Majid ar-Raghib, one of Imrithi's commentators, considers that Imrithi not only reformed Jurumiyyah, but also became its sharah. Because Imrithi is accompanied by additions that expand the very concise material in Jurumiyyah.
