Exactly what I needed! I'm bad at remembering what I need to do, and also at keeping to-do lists; I either loose them on paper, or make lists on my phone in an app that I never open, so it kind of defeats the point. Making custom notifications is a great way to keep things where I'll see them in my phone's taskbar. Easy to create and easy to dismiss when you're done, and has a handy archive where you can restore a task you need to repeat often.

Notification Maker let's you creat custom notification. You can set to be persistent so it requires you click pon the notification and click finish. It's tiny amount of resistance but just enough to get you to meaningfully respond. I use this for recurring tasks (e.g. take the trash out, write a journal entry, weigh myself). My one complaint it that it uses European date and time formats that I find confusing. I wish there was some localization options.

I was trying to find an app that would allow me to make notifications so that i can remember to do specific tasks. In this function is works wonderfully and is exactly what I was looking for. It also offered something that i didn't know i wanted, the ability to make the notifications 'persiatant notifications' : this feature makes it so that they don't get cleared by swiping or pressing a "clear all" button, so i don't accidentally remove something important.
