About this app

Experience a new kind of web browser and help build a smarter internet that refuses to accept the limitations of today. The Viasat Browser learns how to make web pages faster, blocks ads that degrade the experience, and includes a suite of security and privacy features for a more private and safer web browsing experience.

Faster web browsing

We made a faster browser by thinking about the web differently. Already faster than leading browsers, our innovative technology learns how to browse faster the more you use it.

A smarter browser for the evolving internet

Viasat built a smarter way to surf the web. Using artificial intelligence, we rethought how browsers work and invented new technology that figures out how to load web pages faster.

A safe browser to protect your privacy & data

Built upon Chromium, Viasat Browser harnesses the enormous energy of the open source community that is focusing on making the web a safer place for everyone. In addition, web surfing is made more secure by preventing malware and internet trackers from loading.

A browser that helps reduce data usage

We know how annoying wasting data can be. The Viasat Browser was built to help this. Our ad-blocker stops unwanted ads from loading, and a built in Data Saver Mode blocks audio and video HTML5 streams from pre-loading and auto-playing so that you don’t consume data for content that you don’t want to see.

The more everyone uses it, the faster it gets

Viasat Browser is the first browser to crowdsource the internet so that together, we can make it better for everyone. As the community grows, it gets faster and smarter so that together we make a faster Internet.

Why haven't I tried using this before. I was skeptical on it saving data but yes it does work by blocking ads and disabling some video Auto play. You have to switch the settings to block all forms of video Auto playing. Pages load up fast. Great for older people who might accident click on those stupid ads. Now I don't have up worry about my mother in law getting a virus on the computer. This is also available on Linux through copy n paste commands. It's based on chromium n gets updated

Excellent Chrome-extension browser that has ad block built right in and works really well in satellite internet connections such as Viasat. Definitely a go-to for Viasat customers and maybe other satellite providers as well (don't quote me on that part though, it just seems logical that it might be better on satellite internet overall).

Having trouble navigating. Very poor and slow service. I have full bars but I cut in and out constantly. When first installed dish was aimed directly at my house. Someone came out and moved dish so nothing is obstructing it. Service was better but not great for a few weeks. Now we are having issues again. We even have a Verizon signal booster connected to it but our cell connections are poor dispite having full bars. I feel like we have been deceived or flat out lied to about viasat service.
