If you have a UBA account, select Sign-up and register as a new user by choosing from any of the options below:
1. UBA Debit/Prepaid Card
2. UBA Secure Pass
3. USSD PIN
4. Activation Code Only (limited access)
5. In-branch activation

If you do not have a UBA account
1. Click the menu on the top-left corner of your app
2. Select "Open an Account"
3. Choose your preferred account type
4. Fill in your details and your account number will be sent to you via SMS
5. Conclude your signup process
6. Start Banking

Its so annoying when you get to the stage of inputting the code sent to your phone number, the app don't allow my keypad pop up , there should be an option for pasting the code sent , if the app won't allow the keyboard option to pop up , it should be fixed , and I know my phone don't have issues it's a new phone , this is an app issue.

Still no way to save beneficiaries for billers e.g. Cable, electricity. The only the option is to save the bill. But, I may not pay the same amount every time, maybe for cable TV but certainly not for things like electricity. Beneficiaries for bill payments are very useful as such. Just as it is for account transfers. It wasn't there in the last version of the app, was really hoping for it here. Disappointed… Before I could save phone numbers as favourite beneficiaries so I could topup as needed. Now even that is totally gone. Now I can only save the whole bill, so either I repeat the exact same transaction or I do a fresh transaction. Means waste time typing in the number again or go look for it in the contacts. Why remove such a beautiful function?? Totally downgraded Otherwise the new app is fast & smooth. Transfers process is improved.

In my experience, the app is not reliable. I often fall back to its predecessor for my banking needs. It reports network errors when other apps are running smoothly, and takes to much time to process requests. I do not know why UBA allows two mobile banking apps to be live at the same time. Take one down and channel the energy and resources into making the one available worth it. To call it disappointing is really for mild use of words!
